A Southern Trip. 

A Rest Stop in West Virginia - Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
On the road with my son Jake during the summer of 2021. I flew into Minnesota and caught my connection to Ohio. We drove Ohio, drove through Virginia, West Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and back to Idaho.

The Olde Pink House in Savannah, Georgia, built in 1771, started as the Habersham House, a home for the Habersham family, and later served as a bank, tea room, and restaurant, surviving the Savannah Fire of 1796 and the Civil War.

General Store in Jefferson, Texas, getting ready for the town's 4th of July celebration. We had the best barbecue at Riverport Bar-B-Cue. Wish we could have stayed longer!


"The Land of Enchantment"
A sudden storm on US Route 66 in New Mexico. The sky was amazing but,
Sudden torrential downpour led to flash flooding on the highway causing our car to hydroplane.

...we should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque!
