Founded in the early 1840s the town of Jefferson, Texas, is likely named for the
third president of the U.S. This is the Jefferson General Store, 113 E Austin St, Jefferson, TX.

Built in 1904, the Romanesque Youree Memorial Chapel in the Scottsville Cemetery, Marshall TX,
was dedicate by Peter and Betty Scott Youree in memory of their only child, William,
who was killed in Mexico.
